The 29th April 2018 took place the 5th Polar Cannes Triathlon 2018. 1’500 individuals participants and 900 finishers + 60 teams registered for this event. The menu of the day was the following : 2km Swim – 107km Bike (1’800m D+) – 16 km Run
It was the first triathlon event for the GFG Team after having participated tosailing, the biking and polo events! Anthony MIRARCHI and Stephane MARTINY registered as an individual while Emilien FRIOT (Swim) and Vincent OLLIVIER (Bike + Run) registered as a team.
The participants started with the swimming part at 8am the morning in the bay of Cannes, then it was the time for the biking section across Cannes countryside. After that and after almost 5 hours of efforts, our GFG participants had to run 16kms on the Port of Cannes
At the end, Anthony MIRARCHI and Stephane MARTINY completed the whole triathlon in a bit less than 6 hours while our Team composed by Emilien FRIOT and Vincent OLLIVIER completed it in around 6 hours and 10 minutes.
It has definitively been a great experience for them and they will keep very good memories of this sunny day where they had to overpass their limits mixing three different sports!
